Nanotechnology and microfluidic services
We offer the following services, expertise and facilities relating to our capabilities in nanotechnology, microfluidics and quantum dots:
- Carbon nanotube manipulation, modification and characterisation (infrared fluorescence)
- Electrical and magnetic manipulation of cells and other bioparticles
- Electrode expertise (including pH measurement)
- Measurement of electrical impedance: 10 Hz - 40 MHz and 10MHz - 1.3 GHz.
- Mechanical micro and nano manipulation, including 100 µm travel piezo-actuators
- Microfluidics: chip design, construction and electro-osmotic flow measurement
- Microreactor technology - heterogeneous catalysis: preparation, characterisation and testing
- Nanofluidics: electrical measurements on fluid filled nanopores, including nanoparticle characterisation
- Optical (including fluorescence) microscopy
- Polymer microchip fabrication: soft lithography: photoplate manufacture and development, mould production, spin coating, contact bonding
