Your Location Within Site:
Relocation
New employees are often required to relocate from cities within New Zealand or from countries all over the world to an IRL site where a vacancy is located. IRL acknowledges that relocation for individuals and families can often be stressful and requires careful planning.
IRL is committed to providing an easy transition for new employees and so has developed a detailed plan and process to assist those required to relocate. IRL has ensured that our plan commences as close as possible to the time when an employee accepts an offer of employment and extends for several months after the employee commences work at IRL.
If you are relocating from a country outside of New Zealand we will help you get the relevant visa and work permit. Our accredited employer status with Immigration New Zealand generally shortens the processing timeframes for your visa and work permit applications.
Once you have an approved visa or permit, our Human Resources team will get in touch directly with details about where you will be living and working in within New Zealand. You can expect the following support from our HR team:
- information on local living standards, where to shop, public transport, emergency contact details, medical and hospital arrangements
- now and where to view temporary and permanent accommodation options
- transport from the airport to your temporary accommodation
- access to one of IRL’s vehicles during your first 2-3 weeks in New Zealand
- help getting a New Zealand bank account and Inland Revenue number;
- help filling out and returning HR of IRL employment documents and forms
Obtaining entry into New Zealand
